Marcus “Ritmo” Figueroa

Marcus "Ritmo" Figueroa was born in Alconbury, United Kingdom and has lived in California for twenty-six years. He started his musical venture in the East Bay of Livermore, spent time in Nashville, and is now firmly rooted in Los Angeles. At a young age, Marcus discovered the guitar. It soon fed his creative ambition and would later become what he calls today, “his reason for living.” 

 His professional career began in sessions for fellow artists and producers as an instrumentalist spanning all genres. Over the years, Marcus has been involved with several bands and groups, but experimenting with his own concepts and discovering his musicality as an individual has lifted his craft and his dedication to another level. 

 Marcus draws inspiration from many events in his own life producing emotional and often sorrowful instrumentals. His sound benefits from a unique sense of purpose and duty which he attributes to his fans. He remains disciplined and focused on chasing perfection, a race against himself that is never ending and that he is sure to lose but nevertheless, a bittersweet privilege to run.
